Third Grade Ages 8-9
Our third grade classroom is an environment that will nurture the independent spirit of each maturing child. In our third grade, your child's growth will be astonishing in each of the core subjects. Children will discover that reading becomes a part of their daily lives--from newspaper headlines to schoolwork instructions. Their writing will change from manuscript to cursive, and they will begin to appreciate proper punctuation and creative writing. In mathematics, memorizing numbers will develop into understanding the concepts of multiplication and division, reading numbers properly, and learning the place of zero. Each child is taught by example, and our actions will invite an increase of accountability and maturity, and the children will anxiously rise to the occasion.
